The Rafter Hook Adapter was designed specifically for the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Framing Nailer (part #2745). The stock rafter hook tends to slide down steeper roof trusses and does not allow for easy access to the handle while hooked on. With the Rafter Hook Adapter installed, it can hold on the steepest of rafters without a worry and also spaces the nailer handle away from the truss so that it can be grabbed easily.
